authors note: all about my favorite football player
Football is Americas sport. More than half of the U.S.A watches or plays some sort of football, but if you go to some other countries, football may be know as soccer. There are 32 teams in the NFL, and my favorite team is the Chicago Bears. And it just so happens to be that my favorite player is Devin Hester, who plays for the Bears. His main job is special team, kick return and punt return, and he is the all time leader in touch down for both. A couple reasons why I like Devin is his speed, and vision on the field, his number also takes place after Michael Jordan the great basketball player. (#23)

Xbox 360
authors note: explains to people about Xbox 360
The Xbox is a video game system that lots of people use. It is usually more popular the ps3 or play station 3, because of better graphics, and because it has more games. I think themost popular games for the Xbox 360 are nba 2k12, fifa 12, and call of duty games. For the call of duty games the mos popular one’s are black ops, mw3, and mw2, and people like nba 2k12 mostly because of the legends teams, with Michael Jordan. If you want to customize your xbox you can getsticker to go over it and there are white or black Xbox’s.The people who game alot are called gamers .

Los Angeles
Authors note: facts about los angeles sports teams.
Los Angles is the biggest city in the golden state (California). This great city has a total of 8 different sports teams, including one of the greatest basketball teams ever, the Lakers. There is another NBA basketball team too; it’s just that the Lakers have been so good that most people forget about the Clippers. Just recently a baseball team the angels, picked up Albert Pujols and C.J Wilson so they can make a run at the playoffs this season. I think that there would be more people living in the los Angeles area if they had a football team, because that is Americas sport.
Derrick Rose
Authors note: writing circle piece about Derrick Rose NBA basketball player.
Basketball, it’s a game of hustle and smartness. That’s why there are only around 1 hundred people in the NBA because the can do both of those things. The one, who I think is best in the NBA, is Derrick Rose. Derrick Rose was last year’s MVP and I think he should be again. His team is the Chicago Bulls, and he led them all the way to the eastern conference finals last year, and I hope he does again because Derrick Rose is my favorite player and because I’m from Chicago. Derrick Rose is a little guy but can have some beast dunks. This season I think the bulls can go to the playoffs again but maybe they need someone like Jamal Crawford to play the 2. To me Derrick Rose is the most elite player in the NBA because of all the different things he can do, like assists, defense, steals, blocks, and scoring. Stats—25.0 ppg, and 8.7 apg.

Banana' boy
Authors note: MY brothers rampage about bananas
One day on the way to the store, I saw a strange little boy walking on the side walk. He was eating a big banana, “he probably has good potassium” I thought. But as i got closer I realized that the kid was my brother Max. Although I was stunned he was there, I had him come with me, it took me a while to realize that he was waring all yellow. The whole time we were there he wanted bananas, so I got bananas and all the other things I needed. When I got back to the house Max had finished the bananas of in a split second as they were on a ice cream split, to me this was very strange because max usually at pretzels not fruit. As soon as I turned around my little brother transformed into a monkey that was huge. Mean while, when he was destroying the neighborhood, I was blacked out in my house, so I have no idea what happened. Then I woke up, I was so happy that it was over then when I turned around my brother was laying there sleeping. P.S Max still eats bananas.

On the Devil''s court
Authors note: I wrote this essay to show how much I liked the book and to analyze it.
Shot! swish, another shot and swish then the lights went of and it got all misty. That is one of my favorite parts in my book, one of the reason I chose On the Devil’s court as my book. In this book I can also relate to quite a few thing, one of the few reason is the basketball in the story, that really made me like it more.
In addition one of the things I related to in this fine story is the first game (Joe) the main character, played in. The main reason that I relate to this is when I played in my first travel basketball game and had a descent game. On the other hand I can not quite say anything about this because I have never played in a High school game so I do not how hard it is.
Secondly In this book not only me but also my team can relate to when we went on a 9 win-- 0 loss run last season. equally important is the reason why we would not relate to this 24-0 season is because this year my team started 0-6 in very great. yet another thing that my team and I are not very familiar with is the state tournament. Are first year in that is this year and, in the book that academy had a chance at the tournament because of a 24-0 record.
Finally the most exiting part was towards the end when the academy pulled of a huge upset on Loyola a big school in the state finals. It feels great when you are a part of a winning team, and sometime even I know how it feels to win a big game,like when we won the Lake Geneva tournament in fifth grade, it was the first time are team had won a championship.
“On the Devil’s court” a great book. hopefully you will read it. This book was a good choice for me because of its genre, and how many times I could relate to the chapter and a couple characters. some of the book is very interesting, at least tome and maybe to lots of other people too.

Patriots Pen
Authors note: I'm writing this topic for the patriots pen, and its about sports, pioneers, presidents, and military.
Are you proud of my country? When I think of that question, it makes me think of a big, independent, strong, and mostly peaceful, country that makes me safe and proud to I live here. I am proud of my country, because of many different things, like the military, pioneers, presidents, sports, and the patriots of the United States.
When I say I’m proud of the military, I don’t just mean the military; I mean the army, navy, and all the others too. It means a lot to this country that we are free, and if we didn’t have these people of the military are country would not be like this today. Our special forces have also won lots of important wars for are country, and other countries too. Some of the memorable wars we have won are World War 1&2, Korean and Vietnam's wars.
The United states also have a big history in sports. Are country is the founder of football, baseball, and my favorite sport, basketball. Baseball and football were both invented around the same time (1863-and-1879), but basketball was not invented until 1892, and was not played until the 1900’s. In recent years a couple pro athletes have joined the army in time of need. One of the athletes was an NBA player named Pat Tillman he join the army rangers and later died in 2004, in Iraq. Pat Tillman is not the only one who has done this, there are many more pro athletes who are willing to help are country.
Finally I want to tell you about the pioneers of our country, and how they changed the United States. If the pioneers didn’t come over to this country we wouldn’t be here right now, we would be back in Europe maybe, and we wouldn’t have the great country we call home today. When there were too much people on the east coast, the pioneers were the ones to migrate west.
Once more, pioneers, presidents, military, and sports, are some of the many reasons that I am proud of my country the U.S.A.

Chicago Bulls
Authors Note:since my favorite basketball team is the Chicago Bulls i, i wrote an essay on them.
The Chicago Bulls are one of the greatest teams in the history of the NBA, but they were not always very good. For about 8 years they were one of the top teams but then they fell apart and the two new teams were the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Then in 1984 the Bulls drafted Michael Jordan 3rd overall, he started to bring the team back to the top. But they always came short of the finals because of the Detroit Pistons. Just Michael Jordan wasn’t enough, so the got players like Steve Kerr, Luke Longley, B.J Armstrong, Scotty Pippen and most importantly coach Phil Jackson. After that the very next season the Bulls won their 1st championship.
This far into the story you probably know that I like basketball, but you probably didn’t know that all six NBA finals the Bulls appeared in they won all six. The thing that I think is amazing is that they won all six in the 1990’s (90-91, 91-92, 92-93, 95-96, 96-97, and 97-98). In that span Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen became one of the greatest duos in basketball history. Then after that Michael and Scotty were traded away and they became bad again.
Just recently in 2010-2011 the bulls were lead to the NBA east finals but came short to the Miami Heat who had required Lebron James and Chris Bosh last summer. In 2010 Michael Jordan was elected into the hall of fame, and in 2011 Scotty Pippen was too. And that’s the history of the Chicago Bulls. #5

basketball
my favorite sport is basketball, and my favorite teams are the chicago bulls and the OKC thunder. my favorite players on those teams are D- rose, K-D, and russel westbrook. I also like college teams, one of my favorites is UCONN, and jeramy Lamb plays for them.
